Dr. Abraham has over 23 years of experience as a veterinarian. He worked in the metro area for other vets before fulfilling his dream of opening his own animal care clinic in 2002. Starting with just one technician, the practice has since grown to include three doctors and over twelve full-time and part-time staff members.
Dr. Abraham remembers writing an essay back in fourth grade about wanting to become a vet. As a child, his pets included a guinea pig, a parakeet, frogs, turtles, hamsters, fish, rabbits and eventually a mini-schnauzer.
After graduating Brooklyn College with a degree in biology, he set off for veterinary school in Parma, Italy. Between studies, Dr. Abraham found time to travel and do some skiing in the Dolomites. After presenting a thesis on retinal diseases, he graduated and returned home with his two Italian cats, Sylvester and Squeaky.
Dr. Abraham and his wife, Elise, have four adopted dogs: Duke, Chip, Louie and Billy. They also have three adopted cats: Mia, Stevie and Harley. Jared, their son, attends high school but runs the pet food store on Sundays.

Elise is Dr. Abraham’s wife. She works at Noah’s Ark most Sundays. She is highly personable, friendly and a lover of animals. She continues to work from home as well. Elise is also a registered dental hygienist. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking dog and cat treats, and long walks with the dogs.
Jared AbrahamStore Manager
Jared is no stranger to the animal world. He was accompanying his dad, Dr. Abraham, to work before he even started elementary school. Jared used to sit in the back of the car with their Akita, Rosie. Now he helps out around the hospital or runs the store when he’s off from school. Jared hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps some day, but for now, he enjoys guitar and long-boarding!
Lauren has been working with Dr. Abraham for over 9 years. She is highly trained, whether in patient care or surgery. Lauren has two dogs of her own, Midnight and Louie. She also has two beautiful daughters, Skylar and Sienna.
Nelly started working at Noah’s Ark when she was only sixteen. Not only is she an energetic worker, but she is also very dedicated and knowledgeable. Nelly can be found working in surgery, doing patient care or helping at the front desk! She has two dogs, Augie and Ham.
Mariam is a highly motivated veterinary assistant who started out as a volunteer 2 years ago. She works part-time while going to school. She is compassionate yet fearless, whether handling large dogs or tough cats. That’s probably due to her experience in handling her 90-lb. shepherd, Max!
Richie is one of our veterinary assistants and has been working with us for over 5 years. He is compassionate and easygoing with everyone. Richie has a dog named Mildred and enjoys going to Broadway shows. He now spends more of his time at the reception desk, putting clients and their pets at ease with his winning personality!
Having started at our store, Samantha has become very knowledgeable about the various dog and cat diets we carry. She now spends more time at the hospital, sharpening her skills in the lab, getting patient histories and helping out wherever else she is needed.
Hi I’m Jose and I’ve been grooming for 16 years. I’m the former groomer for Bill’s Groom Room. I love all animals and I’m passionate about the service I provide for them. When grooming, I hand-scissor and use a hand-held dryer. I style the pets at Noah’s Ark Veterinary Practice according to client instructions and preferences. I’m well-versed in breed-specific cuts. I take the time to listen to my clients and I also take my time with their pets, making sure to treat them with tenderness and care. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss your pets’ needs! Thank you!
